Privacy Policy

This page contains the privacy policy for users of (and visitors to) this site. It’s also where you’ll find details of any changes to that policy in future.

General information

This site currently uses Google Analytics to analyse how visitors use the site. You can read Google’s privacy policy for use of its services here.

The site’s web server also logs the usual details about each visitor, such as IP address, browser version, and which pages were accessed. Those logs are kept for one week, and then overwritten. They’re not currently used for any purpose except to see which other web sites are currently sending traffic.

This site is HTTPS-only, for your privacy and security. You can verify its status here.

I use third-party companies to help me provide services. It’s always opt-in for you, and I don’t retain a separate copy of any of the data you might choose to provide to those companies. You can find the specifics below. Please contact those companies directly with any corresponding queries.

Mailing lists

My mailing lists, such as my Readers’ News list, are handled by MailerLite. Here’s MailerLite’s privacy policy.

You can unsubscribe from any mailing list at any time; there’s an unsubscribe link in every message. If you need help with that, email me (details below).

Buying my books

My books are available in both electronic and paper formats from various retailers, as detailed on this site’s pages for each book. I don’t receive any personal information about you when you buy a book, with one exception: when you buy an autographed copy of a book, my payment provider Gumroad sends me your delivery address (because I physically sign and ship your book). I don’t retain your information myself after your book has been shipped. Here’s Gumroad’s privacy policy.
